This baseball card holder features a two piece snap design
that is
ideal for less expensive baseball cards as well as other inexpensive collectible cards. This
baseball card holder is the mainstream collector's choice for
hard plastic protection of trading cards. This new and improved version has recessed arrowhead
in each corner so that the trading card's corners are never touched. It also has a white
frost on all four sides of the trading card which makes the trading card stand out
better. Invented by Pro-Mold. Beware of cheap
imitations.
Strengths: Inexpensive. Small and compact which allows for storage of
many in smaller spaces particularly in monster or shoe cardboard boxes.
Weaknesses: With it's two piece snap design there is always a chance
that it could come apart if your drop this holder on the floor. For real
expensive cards, use a one screw screwdown, or a
four screw screwdown. Some people, like children,
have a hard time opening these up. Use a small coin like a dime to wedge it into
the slot on the side of it to open if necessary.
Aliases: Mini-Tites, Mini-Snap Downs, Mini-Snap
Locks, Mini Squeeze and Stacks, Pro Cardholders, Card Sleeves, Card Case,
PC1-II.
Will this holder still fit in the standard
set storage boxes? Answer: No. You will have to use the
original Mini-Snap to store expensive trading cards in
standard set storage boxes.
